Job Description

As an SAP Authorization Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing expertise in SAP security and authorization management to multiple clients across various industries.

Your responsibilities will encompass designing, implementing, and optimizing authorization models tailored to each client’s specific requirements.

Working closely with client stakeholders and the project management, you will assess security needs, develop robust authorization frameworks, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll engage with diverse clients, tackle complex challenges, and drive impactful solutions across their SAP landscapes.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, security objectives, and SAP landscape. Assess authorization requirements and provide strategic guidance on security best practices.
2. Authorization Design and Implementation: Design and implement role-based access controls (RBAC) in SAP systems, considering client-specific needs, industry regulations, and security standards.
3. User Provisioning and De-provisioning: Manage user access by provisioning and de-provisioning authorizations, ensuring timely and accurate setup and removal of access privileges.
4. Security Compliance: Conduct security assessments and audits to evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Implement controls and measures to address identified risks and vulnerabilities.
5. Segregation of Duties (SoD) Analysis: Perform SoD analysis to identify and mitigate conflicts of interest, ensuring that users’ access privileges adhere to segregation policies.
6. User Training and Support: Provide training and support to client personnel on authorization-related topics, including access request procedures, role assignments, and security awareness.
7. Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve authorization-related issues and incidents, working closely with client teams to address access requests, role mapping discrepancies, and security incidents.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of authorization processes, configurations, and changes for each client engagement. Generate reports on security assessments, compliance status, and remediation efforts.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of SAP security trends, technologies, and emerging threats. Continuously assess and enhance authorization processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and security posture for clients.

Your Skills and Experience

• Solid experience (2+ years) in SAP security administration, with a focus on authorization management
• Proficiency in SAP security concepts, including role design, authorization objects, user provisioning, and SoD analysis
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and design technical solutions
• Hands-on experience with SAP security tools and technologies, such as SAP GRC and SAP IAM
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Authorization and Auditing for NetWeaver) are advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, service- and solution-oriented working style, and high analytical skills
• Use of policies and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of agile project tools: Jira and Confluence
